When it comes to stepping up to the plate, Billy Roberson, of Louisville, TN has not only stepped up, he has hit the home run, and ran the extra lap just for good measure.
We have all seen big trucks, even big Toyota trucks but to have a Toyota that can make even the biggest of the big, start to ask questions fearing inadequacy, is a feat. Envy and admiration are just two words that come to mind when onlookers watch this daily driver trek the open road.
Billy Roberson of Louisville, Tennessee has pulled out all stops in making his little SUV, a HUGE play toy. This 1994 Toyota 4Runner and its grocery list of add-ons is undeniably one of the smoothest 4Runners out there.
Starting with the paint. Flawless! Seeing that Billy is a painter by trade, you would expect nothing less. Billy invited a few of his buddies over for a 23-hour marathon of paint. The results were amazing. This Harley inspired 2-tone paint scheme consists of Harley Edition Silver placed brilliantly under the deepest black paint I've ever seen. Dividing the tones is a bright orange pinstripe racing from the front to the rear of the SUV. As it reaches the tail it bursts into tribal flames, overlaying ghosted and marbleized purple abstract flames, definitely a show of creativity at its very best.
Suspension... Goodness, where do we start? Riding high on 39"x18" Mickey Thompson Baja Belted tires surrounding 15"x14" Weld Mountain Crushers is way too much for most enthusiasts, but not for Billy. In order to roost high atop these tready monsters, Billy has added a suspension lift and a body lift to give his "ToyZilla" 15.5" of total lift so far.
Future Plans:
Billy states that he is planning to have Top Gun Customz install a solid front axle in his 4Runner with new coil-over shocks all around in order to raise his truck yet another 8" providing him with a total projected lift of 23.5 inches.
....it's so obvious why this truck had to be featured!
