Good morning, hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. We wanted to start the week off by showing everyone a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 which already had an 8" lift. However, it still had a short arm system which was hurting the ride of the Dodge at that amount of lift. So we installed our very own Top Gun Customz Long Arm Upgrade. Take a look at the angles on the picture below....short arms are fine...up until 6" of lift or more.

Why A Long Arm Vs. A Short Arm?

Running "short arms" on your lifted Dodge is fine, but, at around 6" of lift and up, the angle of the control arms starts to affect the ride quality. The more lift you have, the more the ride quality is affected. A long arm upgrade provides just that....longer arms. Longer control arms reduce the angle and provide more travel. A long arm suspension system, along with progressive rate coils and properly valved shocks, can ride incredibly smooth!
